As an obsessor of all things Sephora, I am so excited to have this opportunity. I will now be occasionally testing and reviewing different products from Sephora! While Sephora is most known for their makeup products, they also carry everything from hair, skincare, and all things beauty. Sunday Riley’s new Luna Sleeping Night Oil review:
I haven’t used many face oils in the past, just the occasional coconut oil or Josie Maran’s 100% Pure Argan Oil. This leads me to ask the question: Have you ever applied coconut oil on your face at night? I have and it would always get all over my pillow cases and my face was still greasy when I woke up. Not a good look but in the name of great skin, right? So I was really excited to try this product out since it is specifically for nighttime use. Greasy pillows/sheets/face… never a good thing.
Using the Product
When I tried this new oil for the first time a few weeks ago, it was exciting and also caught me off guard that it was actually blue! Once it’s spread the color goes away but it looks really cool dripping blue oil onto your fresh face. Most certainly a fun moment in itself.
Step 1: I wash my face under cold water with Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Pore Scrub (have been loving this face wash!) and apply about 4 drops of the night oil. One drop to the forehead, each cheek, then nose.
Step 2: Spread evenly in a circular motion to entire face.
Step 4: Wake up from what was hopefully a perfect night of sleep with pillow cases dry and skin refreshed!
Actually Blue Oil!
Contains Plant Oils – avocado, blackberry, grapeseed, & chia
Overall, I loved this product. I love the glow this has given my skin since using it, it was almost immediate! What comes to mind is Miss Hannigan’s line from Annie when she mentions the floors shining like the top of the Chrysler Building… That’s what happens to your skin on this stuff. It has also made my skin firmer and visibly well-hydrated without being greasy. My pores have noticeably gotten smaller and skin feels baby soft. Safe to say this oil is magic in a bottle… The only downfall is it is definitely an investment ($105 for 1 oz…) so I am on the hunt for some similar ones to try that are way more affordable. Let me know if you have any oils you would recommend!
4.5 stars because of price
