I was recently invited to review one of Serena & Lily’s luxurious products! With every new season, I always like to change up my room a bit and since it’s spring (YAY!), I went the pastel route and chose the Cut Circle Sheet Set in Aqua.
If you’re not familiar, Serena & Lily is a home and lifestyle brand serving up a fresh, California point of view. (While I don’t live in California, their products make me feel like I do!) The brand is most known for their bright colors and patterns, original textiles, inspired family spaces, and chic coastal design. While I love their products, I REALLY love their mission because it aligns with my own:
“Discovering your personal style and expressing it with confidence.
Creating a world that’s more colorful, more comfortable, more meaningful more true.”
– Serena & Lily
Without further ado…
The sheets arrived in a cute matching drawstring bag (pictured above). In the bag are 2 pillow cases, 1 fitted sheet, and 1 flat sheet. What’s really nice is that they are machine wash, 300-thread-count, and 100% cotton sateen which is a silkier and warmer fabric that has a little sheen.
They wash well and without pilling, but notice wrinkle pretty quickly. Will try out different techniques to help (If you have suggestions let me know!). I have been putting them in the dryer and taking them out while still warm but when they cool, they tend to wrinkle a little. BUT… another fun fact I found via the great blog Cupcakes & Cashmere is: To avoid sheets labeled “wrinkle free,” “easy care”, and “permanent press.” This means the fabric has been treated with formaldehyde resin, a toxic chemical that will not wash out. So I will welcome some wrinkles!
The fitted sheet gives plenty of room in the pockets of the corners which is really nice. Flat sheet is generous in size also!
All in all, I love this bedding. It adds such a silky, luxurious touch while giving a little extra warmth. You can tell it’s super high quality in feel and look. I would be lying if I said I haven’t slept way more comfortably since using them and love how they make me feel really fancy.
I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a fresh new look and extra comfort for their room. I really like having them as a statement piece under my white comforter and blankets. So when you go to get in bed or fold the top layer, the fun color and pattern show!
Pros: High quality, warm, silky, fresh and cool pattern, bright fun color options
Cons: Wrinkle a tad, pricey
